Eduardo Villasenor, 38, of Chula Vista was the victim, said to police Sgt. Anthony Molina. Additionally, the police department unveiled images of the vehicle they believe the alleged shooter was utilizing during the Wednesday morning incident on E Street that occurred just before 10 a.m. Witnesses reported seeing two cars traveling west on E Street near Broadway, according to Chula Vista police.
The drivers of the two vehicles pulled over to the side of the road, got out, and exchanged glances. According to police, one driver shot the other, who was identified as Villasenor. According to Molina, the shooter got back into his car and went west on E Street in the direction of Interstate 5. When the police came, they discovered Villasenor bleeding from several gunshot wounds in the front seat of his own vehicle.
After being brought to a hospital, he passed away. According to authorities, the gunman’s vehicle is thought to be a gray, four-door Nissan Altima from model years 2010 to 2012.
