Christopher Bordere Death – The man found slumped and dead in a vehicle in New Orleans East on Monday night has been identified as 44-year-old Christopher Bordere, according to the coroner for Orleans Parish. Bordere was shot to death. The fatal shooting was reported to have occurred in the 4700 block of Raymond Joseph Drive in New Orleans at about 6:35 p.m., according to the police department. According to a preliminary report from the NOPD, the man was discovered slumped over the steering wheel of a vehicle after having been shot many times.

He was pronounced dead at the scene by the EMS personnel. The man, who has since been identified as Bordere, was reportedly working on the vehicle when he was shot by police, according to statements made Monday night. According to the office of Coroner Jeffrey Rouse, Bordere died as a result of gunshot wounds. On Monday night, when investigators from the NOPD investigated the homicide, relatives or loved ones who were at the site wondered out loud what had taken place. Some were observed attempting to reassure a woman who had suddenly begun wailing and screaming, after which they followed the ambulance down the street.
