In 1957, he performed w. Dizzy Gillespie, Sonny Stitt, & Sonny Rollins on ‘Sonny Side Up.’ He also recorded w. Billy Eckstine, Lee Morgan, Dinah Washington, Melba Liston, Kenny Dorham, Zoot Sims, Eric Dolphy, Rahsaan Roland Kirk, & many others. Persip was 91.
