Carlos Miller Death – An investigation has been launched to discover more information regarding what appears to have been a fatal shootout in Anniston. A victim of a shooting was discovered by officers of the Anniston Police Department (APD) on the evening of January 16 at a site in the 5100 block of McClellan Boulevard, as stated in a press statement issued by the Anniston Police Department (APD).

According to the police department, the victim, who has been identified as 43-year-old Carlos Miller, was transported to a hospital, where he ultimately passed away. The APD says officers were notified of another shooting victim at a separate hospital, who also died from injuries. The second suspect has been named as Carrell Brown, who is 21 years old. According to the police department, the evidence suggests that the two victims were shooting at each other, which supports their conclusion.

Jada Cook, age 19, has been taken into custody by the Anniston Police Department in connection with the shooting death of Jacoby D. White, age 24 of Anniston. On December 18, at around 3:45 in the am, police officers were dispatched to the 4500 block of Sprague Avenue in response to a report of a person who had been shot. When police arrived, they found a male inside the residence suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was on their way to the hospital when they passed away as they were being transferred. When the authorities came, Cook was still present, thus he was brought into custody at that time.
During the course of the investigation, the authorities found out that the suspect and the victim were involved in a dating relationship. An dispute took place between the perpetrator and the victim shortly before the shooting took place, according to the findings of the investigation. According to the police, Cook was taken into custody and charged with Murder Related to Domestic Violence. After being arrested, Cook was taken to the Calhoun County Jail. She is being held under a bail of $250,000 at this time. Investigation into this matter is not yet complete.
