Autistic teen injured after the father was killed in road rage shooting
Carl Edmiston Death : Dallas family intended Christmas celebration has been cut short after police say the father of two was shot to death during a road rage incident in North Texas.
A 54-year-old Houston-area father was driving his teenage autistic son for a doctor’s appointment just northbound on North Central Expressway toward the westbound Woodall Rodgers ramp at about 10:04 p.m. Monday. A dark-colored car with dark tinted windows on high-speed weaving in and out of traffic that had been reduced to one lane because of construction tried to overtake Edmiston, the man of Conroe became angry and began to speed up to get away from the aggressive driver when the driver opened fire, striking Edmiston.
“My dad had already gotten my kids some things, That’s the thing that really kills me is my kids are never going to know my dad.” “He heard a gunshot. It sounded almost like glass shattering and then my dad said to him, ‘I’ve been shot. I love you, son, Edmiston’s pregnant daughter said.

There have been a total of 528 road rage incidents since 2021, including 500 aggravated assaults and three murders.
