According to the San Diego police on Thursday, October 14, an unidentified driver was killed from his injuries after crashing into a tree in Mira Mesa.
The car wreck happened near the 7900 block of Mira Mesa Boulevard leaving the road closed for several hours, San Diego Police Department said.
According to reports, the driver was heading west on Mira Mesa Boulevard in his Honda CR-V when he lost control and crashed into a tree in the concrete island between the westbound and eastbound lanes around at approximately 5:27 a.m., police said.
The driver suffered a severe injury to the head that he could an hour. He was pronounced dead at the scene, no further information has been released at the moment.
Circumstances surrounding the crash are still under investigation. The scene of the accident, Mira Mesa Boulevard still remains closed between Reagan Road and Montongo Street.
