Cape Town, Western Cape couple, 41-year-old Anton van der Spuy, his 41-year-old wife, Nikki Louw, and their 3-year-old daughter, Ashleigh all of Cape Town, Western Cape have lost their lives in a fatal head-on collision that happened over the weekend on Klipheuwel Road.
According to Durbanville police, following a report of a head-on collision, they found the Cape Town couple and their daughter already deceased inside a white light motor vehicle. The driver of the second vehicle was found trapped with serious injuries inside the car. The driver was extricated from the car using Jaws of Life. While then two passengers in the car incurred minor injuries. They were transported to an area hospital for treatment.
Der Spuy went to York High School and student Business management at South Cape College, while Louw went to Rustenburg High School and at CPUT. She worked at Royal Canin and also as a Sales representative at ACANA South Africa.
Following their deaths, the couple and their daughter have been described as “lovable people with a passion for life and wild animals”
Family and friends who are affected by their deaths have taken to their various social media platforms to mourn their demise.
“Thank you for 30 years of an amazing friendship. I never thought there would be a finite number this early and we would still be cracking jokes as old ladies. We had so many good times and laughs, from hanging out in the park as teenagers to being Mom’s of gorgeous girls. I will hold you, Anton and little Ash in my heart forever. I love you all”.
