Cameron Hall Death – On the morning of January 17, 2019, state police from Louisiana are conducting an investigation into a crash involving four vehicles that resulted in the death of one person. Cameron Hall, 20, from Maurepas was reportedly the victim of the fatal shooting. According to the reports from the Louisiana State Police, the collision took place on Airline Highway in Ascension Parish, south of LA 431. According to the statements made by the state troopers, the crash took occurred as Prairieville resident Trent Lessard, who was driving a 2013 Honda Civic, was traveling north on Airline Highway.

For reasons still under investigation, Louisiana State Police said Lessard crossed over the median into the southbound lane and crashed head-on into a 2011 Toyota Tundra. During this time, troopers reported seeing a 2017 Chevrolet Cruze and a 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe following closely behind the Tundra. They added that the driver of the Cruze veered over into a nearby lane to try and avoid crashing into the Tundra. According to the reports of the Louisiana State Police, such attempts to avoid a collision were unsuccessful, and the Tahoe ended up colliding with the passenger side of the Cruze.

According to the Louisiana State Police, Hall was the front passenger in the Civic and passed away at the scene of the accident. Lessard was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and had moderate injuries, troopers said. In addition, the drivers of both the Tundra and the Cruze were restrained by seatbelts and sustained moderate injuries as a result of the collision. According to the reports of the Louisiana State Police, the driver of the Tahoe did not sustain any injuries. According to the state police, a toxicological sample was collected from each of the drivers who were involved in the collision. According to the Louisiana State Police, the investigation is still taking place.

Investigators believe Alexander then crossed the median and crashed head-on into Equinox. Hall, who was riding in the front seat of the Equinox, passed away at the scene, according to Louisiana State Police. Authorities claimed Hall was not buckled up.

Alexander was reportedly wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision and suffered only minor wounds. Additionally, the Equinox’s driver and a young passenger were both taken to a hospital. According to the Louisiana State Police, Alexander was detained and is accused of irresponsible operation, negligent homicide, and negligent injury. The crash is still under investigation.
