Elderly Bribie Island man killed in Queensland motorcycle accident 

A 61-year-old man from Bribie Island has died from injuries suffered after his motorcycle rear-ended a truck on Monday morning, December 6, 2021. The crash happened at approximately 11.20 am at Ningi, north of Brisbane in Queensland.

According to officials, both vehicles were heading westbound on Bribie Island Road when the motorcyclist rear-ended the truck operated by a 41-year-old man close to the intersection with Browns Road. The elderly Bribie Island sustained life-threatening injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. While the driver of the truck did not sustain injuries from the crass.

The crash remains under investigation.
