Bob Ingham Death – Obituary | Dead – Passed Away

Bob Ingham Death – Dead: A great loss was made known to InsideEko. As friends and families of the deceased are mourning the passing of their loved and cherished Bob Ingham.

Inglis would like to pay their respects to the family of the late Bob Ingham. Bob was a larger than life figure at Inglis sales at Newmarket. Along with his brother Jack, he purchased many outstanding racehorses from us including Golden Slipper winner Forensics, top class gallopers Camarilla, Mnemosyne, Domesday to name just a few. His memory will live on with every one of us who was lucky enough to know him.

Deeply saddened with the news of Bob Ingham passing… I was blessed to wear the all cerise and it was Bob who gave me a go and I never forget the first winner I rode for Bob and Jack. Kind man, racing lover, Gentleman

🔴 VALE Mr Bob Ingham AO
At Age 88, the thoroughbred industry mourns the loss of this most passionate owner and figure of our racing industry.
‘“Bob was a very kind man with presence and a great personality; we are the poorer for the loss of one of our legends” Peter V’landys

Sad news that Bob Ingham has passed away. Those “all-cerise” were so prominent over the years and carried by some of the legends of Australian turf. RIP

Might be bending the truth but the late Bob Ingham was so impressed by a young Chris Waller’s presence and demeanour on TVN that he snapped Chris up on a retainer. His big break. Rest is history. Vale.

The Sympathy of the Munsie Family go to @DKepitis and other members of Bob Ingham Family – I am sure former Jockey Cliff Clare who won many races for them including their first Golden Slipper Handicap echos our sentiment – RIP . #sweetembrace

Bob Ingham was a true titan of Australian racing. Did so much for so many, with a deep love for the sport, animal and people involved. What a brilliant legacy to have left. Condolences to his family. He and his brother Jack were game changers in racing, for the better.

Got to shake Bob Ingham’s hand the day Lonhro & Octagonal we’re both at Rosehill … Racing was good when the ‘all cerise’ colours were in the form guides. Woodlands horses, Hawkes, Beadman, etc, gave me a punting education. RIP Bob. #racing
