Having heard about this great loss, the family of this individual is passing through pains, mourning the unexpected passing of their beloved.

This departure was confirmed through social media posts made by Twitter users who pour out tributes, and condolences to the family of the deceased.

It is with sadness that we share the news that Fr Bill Scott, known to longstanding members of the Chapel for his service during our last interregnum, died early this morning, aged 74.

He was a former Area Dean of Westminster (St Margaret) Deanery; Vicar of St Mary’s, Bourne Street; Vicar of St Barnabas, Pimlico; Chaplain, The Queen’s Chapel of the Savoy; Sub Dean, the Chapel Royal, St James’s Palace.

May he rest in peace.

Mass this evening at 6.30pm will be a Mass of Requiem for the repose of the soul of a beloved & highly respected brother priest, Fr Bill Scott, who fell asleep in Christ in the small watches of the night, just as the sun was rising.

So sad to hear of the death of Fr Bill Scott – delightful and faithful priest, Bourne St and royal service – an outstanding Sub-Dean of the Chapels Royal. May he rest in peace!
