Bertram Frink, Clark Hatch killed in Grand County deadly head-on collision

Bertram Frink, Clark Hatch Death – Cause of Death :  Bertram Frink, of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Clark Hatch, of Koosharem, Utah, both 54 have been identified by officials as the two drivers that lost their lives in a deadly two-car accident that happened at the early hours of Monday morning, December 13, 2021. The crash occurred at approximately 4:30 a.m. on State Route 191 near milepost 154 in Grand County, Utah.

Preliminary investigation revealed that Frink was driving an International semi-truck northbound on State Route 191 near milepost 154 when for an unknown reason the car crossed the centreline and entered the southbound lane and collided head-on with a southbound Kenworth semi-truck driven by Hatch. Hatch attempted to avoid the head-on collision, but all efforts proved abortive.

Frink died of his injuries instantly while Hatch died shortly after being treated by medics.

Investigation into the cause of the crash is still ongoing.
