Benson woman killed in auto-pedestrian accident on NC-50 in Benson, North Carolina
A 50-year-old Benson Woman has died following injuries received from an auto-pedestrian accident that took place on Wednesday night, December 8, 2021. The crash occurred on NC-50 at approximately 8:30 p.m. in Benson, North Carolina.
According to authorities, the woman was walking on foot across the roadway when she was struck by a vehicle heading northbound. The woman was seriously injured in the collision. She was declared deceased at the site of the crash after succumbing to her injuries. The driver of the car who did not receive any injury remained at the scene of the crash and cooperated with investigators. The woman’s identity will be revealed after notifying her next of kin.
The crash remains under investigation.
