Barry Doyle Harris Death – Cause of Death – On Thursday, 8th of December 2021, Barry Doyle Harris, a talented Jazz veteran passed away at the age of 91. Harris was an American jazz pianist, bandleader, composer, arranger, and educator. He was an exponent of the bebop style. He died days before his 92nd birthday from complications of COVID-19 during the COVID-19 pandemic in New Jersey.
Harris was born in Detroit, Michigan on the 15th of December 1929. Harris was an accomplished jazz pianist who had played with legendary musicians such as Miles Davis, Cannonball Adderley, Dexter Gordon, Sonny Stitt, among many others, reports mentioned.
In 2000 Harris was awarded in the American Jazz Hall of Fame for Lifetime Achievements & Contributions to the World of Jazz. Harris was well-groomed in the sounds of bebop and according to TaoSimplesQuantoisso, he was eventually featured in 2000 on a documentary about his career named Barry Harris – Spirit of Bebop.
