Ariana Zarse, a student at the University of Georgia was murdered in a hit-and-run accident on Broad Street on October 19, 2021.
According to the report, Zarse, 20, was crossing Broad Street near Foundry Street around midnight when a Honda Accord traveling west on Broad Street struck her. The car left the scene.
Zarse was rushed to the hospital by the EMS, but she later succumbed to her injuries on her arrival at the hospital.
The Athens-Clarke County Police Department has identified Donterris Gresham, 29, of Athens as the suspected driver in the Oct. 9 hit-and-run death of University of Georgia student Ariana Zarse, according to authorities.
Gresham has been charged with five offenses, including homicide by vehicle, hit-and-run involving serious injury or death, and driving while unlicensed, according to the release.
Police are yet to approach Gresham, anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to call 911.
