Anthony Richardson Death – The Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch is conducting an investigation into a homicide that took place on Wednesday, January 11, 2023, in the 3900 block of South Capitol Street, Southwest. The incident took place at approximately 7:00 p.m. Members of the Seventh District responded to the specified location at around 9:39 p.m. after receiving a report of shots being fired at that place.
Victim identified
Upon arrival, the members located two adult male victims suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Both victims were taken to local hospitals by DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services after they were removed from the scene. After all life-saving efforts failed, one of the victims was pronounced dead. Anthony Richardson, age 23, a resident of Southeast, District of Columbia, has been identified as the deceased.

A reward of up to $25,000 is now being offered by the Metropolitan Police Department to any person who gives information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for each homicide committed in the District of Columbia. Officers from the Central Precinct and the Entertainment Detail responded to reports of a shooting in Downtown Portland on October 7, 2022 at about 2:08 a.m. Southwest 4th Avenue and Southwest Washington Street are located in Downtown Portland. When the officers arrived, they discovered that an adult male had passed away. Jonathan Dunbar, age 39, has been determined to be the victim. His family has been informed of his passing, and they have given permission for the photograph that is attached to this post to be made public.
His family has not communicated any desire to communicate with members of the media. According to the findings of the medical examiner, the method of death was a homicide and the cause of death was a gunshot wound. The probe is still going on right now.
