Andi Olsonawski, a lifelong friend, and an aunt/godmother to Madison Kuznia (my daughter) went home today in peace.. Andi was a humble person, woman of faith, amazing mama, a fighter, and a woman that always inspired others!!
I was blessed to get to say goodbye to Andi yesterday… I whispered in her ear how much I’ve always appreciated her being the great auntie that she has been to Madi, as well as being the amazing woman she is… Even in her last hours she raised her eyebrows at me.. I know she knew I was there❤️.
Andi might have taken her final hurdle of the race of life on Earth.. but I have no doubt that Andi isn’t painless, smiling, free-spirited as always, and hurdling a whole new race as we speak❤️🙏🏽.. RIP Andi, as you will sure be missed, but know you will never be forget you❤️. Much love, Julie
As many of you know, there will be a vigil for Andi Olsonawski on her lawn In Moorhead this Thursday night. Since many of us will not be able to attend, First Lutheran will be hosting a prayer vigil in the east parking lot at 9pm. We will be celebrating Andi Olsonawski and her family through song and prayer. Bring a flashlight and a chair if you wish. Social distancing will be practiced. We will live stream it on Facebook for the family to watch later. Hope to see everyone there!
Since we cannot all be in Fargo to show our love and support for Andi Olsonawski and her family, there will be a prayer gathering at St. Patrick’s tonight (Thursday, June 11th) at 9:00 pm. Please join for prayers, scriptures and songs. All are welcome. We will congregate in front of the rectory. Bring lawn chairs if you so desire.
I’ve been spending a lot of time in the classroom of silence lately thinking about that day. Yesterday was that day. We will miss our friend Andi Olsonawski.
Andi was kind, polite and a leader. Everything you want your kids to be. Super humble. Concerned about others. Always positive.
She was a fierce competitor. Not competitive in the sense that she wanted to defeat you (although she always wanted to win.)
Andi was competitive in the Latin meaning of the word: coming together, striving for a goal and in the process making everyone with you better. All the qualities that make you a great teammate, wife, mother and friend. I hope we can follow her example.
“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day…” 2 Timothy 4:7-8
Prayers for Mark and the kids. Rest in peace Andi.
