Sending prayers to the family of Dr. Amos Issac, passing peacefully after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease this week.
Thank you Dr. Isaac (retired teacher from Redlands USD), for your tireless work, and dedication to the inland Empire including your work with the NAACP, WAG (Westside Action group) being one of the first African-Americans to run for the SB County Board of Education & Redlands USD board after teaching so many.
The very first historical empathy exhibit that I ever developed came from the Issacs, and their donation of over 900 African artifacts to the Black Voice foundation allowed us to be able to share their contributions to thousands of Inland Empire students.
It was my honor to interview him, and learn of all of the amazing stories of his life a few years ago.
