It was with dismay that I learned of the passing of the Prime Minister of Côte d ‘ Ivoire, Mr. Amadou gon Coulibaly.
To his family, the Ivorian people and my eldest, President Alassane Ouattara, I present on behalf of my Government, on behalf of the Beninese people and on my own behalf, my sincere condolences.
Prime Minister Amadou gon Coulibaly was a man of great quality, with a great heart, a seasoned servant of the state, an example of loyalty and skill. He was also a faithful man in friendship.
Ivory Coast has lost a worthy and brave son and President Ouattara, a faithful and dedicated companion.
On a personal basis, I lose a great friend because Amadou gon Coulibaly was a friend whose support and care never failed me.
To all Ivorians, in these painful times, I send the brotherly support of the Beninese people.
