PONTIAC Shooting — An investigation has been launched into the death of a man who was found dead in an apartment in Pontiac on Tuesday afternoon. The victim was 31 years old. The corpse of the guy was found in an apartment located in the 60 block of Surrey Lane in Pontiac at 3:30 p.m., according to the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office. He had suffered many gunshot wounds. Wednesday was set to be the day when the autopsy would take place at the Oakland County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Investigation still ongoing
Anyone who witnessed anything fishy at or near the apartment on Tuesday morning or afternoon is encouraged to call the anonymous tip line provided by Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK-UP with any information they may have. There is a reward of up to $2,000 available for information that leads to the arrest of the person or persons responsible for the gunshot that resulted in a fatality. This is the first homicide that has been reported in Oakland County thus far in 2018.

Oakland County Sheriff’s Office, a man from Pontiac was shot to death after getting into a fight with his supervisor. According to the report, the employee was discharged and sent home. According to the authorities, a second altercation took place at the residence of the worker, where the supervisor then proceeded to shoot him multiple times. Daniel Leroy Brotemarkle, 25, was killed after he was shot outside of his home in Pontiac, which was located in the 800 block of Woodland Drive.
The victim was brought to the hospital, but unfortunately, they were unable to save their life. Within an hour of the incident, the alleged shooter, who is 27 years old, was apprehended and is currently being held at the Oakland County Jail. It is anticipated that charges would be brought against him as soon as Wednesday. On Monday, June 28, just after noon, there was a shooting that took place.
When deputies arrived at the site, they discovered the victim laying motionless on the road with many gunshot wounds. The victim had been wounded multiple times. The investigation resulted in the recovery of several 9mm round casings. After the original altercation at work, the victim drove a company truck home, which was one of the things the detectives learned. According to reports, the suspect in the shooting traveled with other coworkers to the residence of the victim in order to fetch the truck. Once there, an altercation took place.
