2 children killed North Brunswick wrong-way car accident

2 children dead, 3 adults injured in two-car accident in North Brunswick, NJ

Three children have died and three injured following a wrong-way accident that happened on Thanksgiving night, on Thursday, November 25, 2021. The accident happened around 11:30 p.m. at the intersection of Route 1 and Route 130 in North Brunswick, New Jersey.

According to officials, the accident involved a marked police cruiser operated by an Old Bridge police officer with another officer as a passenger and another vehicle that was traveling the wrong. Following the collision, the two children who were traveling in the wrong-way accident sustained serious injuries and were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. While two police officers and the wrong-way driver sustained injuries in the collision.

No other information regarding the accident was made known. The crash remains under investigation.
