John Z. A. Moua killed in an officer-involved shooting in Lincoln County

John Z. A. Moua Death – Cause of Death – 28-year-old John Z. A. Moua, was shot dead in an officer-involved shooting in Lincoln County on Friday morning, 10th of December 2021, the Wisconsin Department of Justice said in a release. The police responded to a 911 call at 6:33 a.m. on Friday, about a person with a knife in a home on Shady Lane Avenue in Pine River. Reports states that the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene.

Lt. Tyler Iverson of the Lincoln County Sheriff officer was identified as the responding officer who shot Moua during the incident. Officers and Emergency Medical Services tried to save Moua, but he was pronounced dead at the scene. No law enforcement personnel were injured during the incident.

Authorities said in a release that Iverson has 17 years of law enforcement experience. The other officers involved in the shooting are on administrative assignment while the Department of Justice Division of Criminal Investigation is investigating the shooting.
