1 killed another hospitalized after car crash into tree in Charlotte

A yet-to-be-identified man has died and a woman seriously injured following a single-car accident that happened on Interstate 69, south of Cochran Road. The crash occurred Saturday afternoon, December 11, at approximately 3:45 p.m. in Charlotte.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the two victims were heading southbound on I-69 south of Cochran Road in sport-utility when the car exited the roadway and crashed into a tree. The man who was the driver of the car suffered serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. while the woman sustained serious injuries and was transported to an area hospital for treatment.

Investigation into the cause of the crash is still by the Eaton County Sheriff’s Office.
